let’s welcome a new artist: Hello, Cinnabar Club!
The Scottish duo from Dundee composed of Liam and Catlin Gourlay are dedicated to electronic music in the broadest and perhaps especially true sense. AOTN (Apostle Of The North), a song strangely inspired by stories about medieval Pictish apostles, combines electro-pop, Italo disco and Krautrock, and the sound really goes back to the origins of electronic music. Cinnabar Club invent new, idiosyncratic sounds within this spectrum and skilfully avoid falling prey to a subgenre.
But maybe you’ll fall for the apostles Ninian and Mungo. I will hope so!
