djummi starts the year 2024 with a great new album:
The drummer and songwriter Dave Schoepke from Milwaukee (USA) will release his third long player on March 1st under the title “Sun Will Follow”. It is the sequel but also in a certain way the musical departure from the previous albums “Drums On Low” and “Tessellated Resonance”.
For the new pieces, Dave expanded his instruments and worked with synthesizers. This created sound stories with completely new depth and narrative power. “Cloudcutter”, the album’s first single, exemplifies this new sound. Mysteriously dark, drivingly monotonous. “Cloudcutter” comes across like the soundtrack to an 80s dystopia.
So we still have to wait almost four weeks until the album is released. Until then, I hope you’ll have fun with the sound of clouds being cut …
