Longtime companions Dirk and Helge having had some sessions together and having organized countless concerts for bands for their own club stage in the Veränderbar in Dresden Neustadt were longing to play music with their own band.
In 2020 just shortly before the lockdowns they had their friend Stefan join them on guitar and the three began jamming for long hours recording a plethora of ideas some of which finally took shape and developed their own life. The first concert they played as Fortuna Kevin came a little too soon but had to be played, so it contained just one actual song and the rest was a fearless jam of rough ideas.
A few months later in 2023 the band joined recording engineer Thomas Kastning in the Loudsneaker Studio Berlin to record 7 of those ideas to finally call them songs. Somehow the band was then drawn into mixing the songs on their own, some lessons had to be learned – but some detours in life may be worthwhile – before finally releasing them to the world as their debut album “blip”.
