End of 2022: Guitarist Sören Bartusch (Superman Stronzo) and drummer David Friedemann (Planet 9, ne:o) have to get back on stage very quickly after the end of the band Menkenkes. They want to keep on telling music. And there are enough images to create new songs.
Beginning of 2023: As a well-rehearsed duo that has been creating sounds together since 2011, they now don’t want to continue as before, but attract new voices to their project. The idea of getting Friederike Pilz (NAD LABEM) and Sven-Thomas Graupner (ne:o) excited about the band was born very quickly. They agree promptly and from now on, the band Stille Post exists in Dresden, now enriched by bass and vocals.
You can tell that Stille Post loves jazz and post rock, a pinch of trip hop? Maybe. It’s complicated, not always but often and happily, not primarily thought up, but rather felt. It grooves almost constantly, it weaves its way, is cheerful to cloudy, dark and wide, also melancholic like a view from above of a sea of fog.
