Why on earth didn’t they became famous? Well, maybe The Remedies were just in the wrong place and time for their music to be discovered and hyped as the next big thing. Founded in spring 1995 in rural Upper Lusatia, Germany, they pretty soon became local alternative rock heroes.
Channelling idols like The Rolling Stones, The Black Crowes and Tom Petty, The Remedies sounded vastly different from the usual punk or metal bands in the area. And who else had a Rhodes piano and Leslie-amplified organ on stage?
After the self-released MC “Things” (1997), they put out their first professionally recorded CD “Candles and Beer” in November 1998. More than 25 years later, we re-release this rare gem now in all its remastered beauty!
