Dear friends of djummi-records,
well, who of you still knows ne:o? Exactly, the Dresden band that was active from 2003 to 2009 and in which I played. Today one of its albums is re-released here on djummi, namely the wonderful record “illoj”. It actually came out in 2009 on the netlabel aaahh-records, but then disappeared from its website after the label’s unfortunate end.
For quite a while I carried around the idea of giving “illoj” a new home, the record that is very close to my heart, musically, because of the way it came about and because of the lovely people I made it with then.
So that would be done! And if you don’t know the record yet, don’t have a copy of it on the CD shelf (yes, in the late noughties it was still quite common to put music on CD), you can be even happier and discover special music that goes its own way somewhere between post-rock, pop, indie, ambient, and electro.
